Welcome to Bufferstop Books, a friendly local bookshop, which is run by volunteers for the Friends of the Bure Valley Railway. We offer a carefully curated collection of books for all ages and tastes, from bestselling novels to rare finds, children’s stories to jigsaw puzzles, there is something for everyone.
CDs & DVDs
Our DVD selection includes movies, documentaries and TV dramas plus, of course, some specifically for younger viewers in our Children’s section.
There’s an eclectic CD selection too including popular music, jazz, folk, rock and classical to name but a few.
Most of our CDs & DVDs are only 50p.
Books
We have a large selection of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, all sorted and displayed to make it easier to find what you’re looking for. Most of our books are still at the absolute bargain price of £1.
We also have a range of local interest books and a small section of rarer, collectable books which are all very competitively-priced.
Jigsaw Puzzles
Jigsaw puzzles are still very popular with all age groups. We usually have a good selection of 500, 1000 and 1500-piece puzzles on our shelves. Prices start from just £3.
Vinyl Records
We have LPs & singles from across all musical genres from mainstream to rarer, collectable gems, all at very affordable prices.
Donations
We rely on your donations to keep the shop stocked, so books, CDs, DVDs, records, and jigsaw puzzles are always needed.
We are happy to accept one or two bags or boxes at any time during opening hours. If you have a larger amount to donate, please contact us by message or email.
