Bufferstop Books
About us
Bufferstop Books opened its doors in June 2013.
It is run by Volunteers for the Friends of the Bure Valley Railway (FoBVR) Our purpose is to support the BVR, which is a not for profit organisation.
A team of (currently) less than 20 volunteers run the shop, on a rota basis. You will usually find at least two of us there during opening hours. Apart from raising money for the BVR we are all very passionate about books. Our stock covers every subject including fiction, biographies, history, arts, crafts, gardening, children’s and, of course railways. For music lovers, we have a large Vinyl record section and a comprehensive selection of CDs and DVDs.
We’ve kept our prices low – books are mostly £1, and CDs and DVDs 50p. Some collectable books and rarer records will have slightly higher price tags but are always competitively-priced.
Do come and visit us, you never know what treasures you may find.
